Today’s the 10th of May, which means April is obviously over, which also means I’ve been on the medication Isotretinoin for 3 full months. One, I seriously can’t believe it’s already MAY 2017, and two I seriously can’t believe I’ve been taking this medication for three months. I feel like I was just celebrating New Years a week ago? Anyways, I had quit doing weekly updates about my acne, because there weren’t any major changes to my face. Therefore, it wasn’t necessary to write up a full blog post each time about how a pimple moved from my chin to my forehead and vice versa. However, like I said we’ve hit three months of the…

I’ve officially been on Isotretinoin (10mg/day) for 5 weeks. If you are unaware of what Isotretinoin is, it’s the drug used in Accutane to help get rid of your pimples and acne. Have there been improvements from day 1? Yes, major improvements. Have there been improvements from last week? I don’t really think so. So what’s changed? From day 1 a whole lot. From last week nothing really. I honestly think my face got a little worse from last week, with more red pimples around my forehead and on my cheeks. The old ones from a week or two ago got replaced with new ones (sadly!). However, I think my acne has gotten better. The…

21 Accutane acne pills down.. and about 161 more pills to go, before I’ve finished my acne treatment. Hopefully my first and only round of this treatment. I haven’t seen any drastic changes from last week to this week, almost not enough to even write about, but I’m going to share what’s changed and the side effects as usual. If you’re new to these updates, you should go check out Week 1, 2 and 3 to get caught up before reading this one! The Acne Changes and Updates Once you scroll down and see the picture comparisons you’ll see the big change from week one to week four, which I’m extremely happy about. I’m so…

So, week 3 (technically week 2 of the Accutane acne treatment because I’ve only taken 14 pills so far, I accidentally counted the day before I started as week 1) has rolled around and I’m extremely happy to say that improvements have been made! After being on the treatment for 2 weeks, I’m surprised to see that my face is getting better. Lots of people on this treatment don’t see any improvement until the third or fourth month, so I’m very lucky that my changes have already started. No major changes but I don’t care. It’s only been two weeks and I’ll be happy with any improvement. What’s changed? Before taking the pills my face…

Today I took my seventh Accutane Pill. It’s officially been a week since I’ve started my Accutane acne treatment. I’ve been consistently taking the pill every morning at around 7:30 right after my breakfast. The doctor said this medication is absorbed better when it’s taken with lots of oils/fats, so I’ve been putting a little extra butter on my soft pretzels! Improvements? I haven’t noticed any significant improvements on my face, nor was I expecting anything major. If only it worked that fast. The only thing that has changed is that my face’s complexion has evened out a bit. When I look into the mirror my face isn’t as red or oily. I actually noticed…
